Management or business consulting refers to both the industry of, and the practice of, helping organizations improve their performance, primarily through the analysis of existing business problems and development of plans for improvement. Business consultants can operate as specialists or generalists, but it is client requirements that dictate which skills and expertise are most appropriate and the situations in which to use a consultant.
